A man diagnosed with testicular cancer after finding a lump during a shower wants to give a message of hope to others diagnosed with the disease. Billy Adams feared he would never be a father but has gone on to have two children with his partner.
Billy was just 27 when he felt a lump while preparing to go on holiday with friends. He decided to get it checked due to a family history of cancer.
He was given the devastating diagnosis but it was found so early that he had an operation to remove one testicle, but did not need any further treatment. Billy, now 38, is speaking out during testicular cancer awareness month to encourage other men to get checked - and urge them not to ignore a lump out of embarrassment.
