A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after a 27-year-old man died following a 'disturbance' at a Scots shopping centre in Cumbernauld.
Emergency services descended on Larch Court around 4.40pm on Monday afternoon following the incident at Abronhill Shopping Centre.
The 27-year-old man was seriously injured during the disturbance and died a short time later at a property on the street.
A heavy police presence remains at the scene today after local reports suggested the man had been 'stabbed'.
A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a 27-year-old man who suffered a serious injury in a disturbance outside the Abronhill Shopping Centre on Pine Road in Cumbernauld around 4.40pm on Monday, 14 February.
“He was pronounced dead a short time later at a property on Larch Court.
“A 15-year-old youth has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.”
