A MAN has died and two teenagers have been taken to hospital, with one fighting for her life, following a three-car crash in East Dunbartonshire.
Police were called to Milngavie after a Skoda Superb, Audi A4 and Ford Tourneo Classic were involved in a collision on Auchenhowie Road at around 9.05pm on Sunday.
Emergency services declared a 21-year-old man, the rear seat passenger in the Skoda, dead at the scene.
A 16-year-old girl, also sat in the back of the Skoda, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and her condition has been described as critical.
The driver of the Skoda, a 19-year-old man, was taken to the same hospital with serious injuries.
He has subsequently been arrested in connection with the crash.
A further two male passengers from the car, aged 23 and 17, sustained minor injuries and have also been arrested. No further injuries were reported.
Sergeant Jack Swindells from the Greater Glasgow Road Policing Unit said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dash cam footage from Auchenhowie Road from around the time of the crash. Information can be passed to police via 101.
“Please quote reference number 3566 of Sunday February 26 2023 when calling. The road is now open.”
