Man, 19, stabbed to death in Bury town centre as murder investigation launched

Bury

A man has died after a stabbing in Bury today.

Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Market Street, Bury town centre, at around 3.50pm today. The 19-year-old victim was rushed to hospital in a serious condition but has since tragically died, a police spokesperson has confirmed tonight.

GMP say his next of kin have been informed. A large police cordon remains in the town centre and is expected to stay in place until Saturday.
