The New England Patriots could catch a big break in Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported on Saturday that Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins, who is listed as doubtful on the injury report, is expected to miss the season opener against the Patriots.
Along with Higgins being out, Ja’Marr Chase is questionable with an illness and will likely be a game-time decision on Sunday. Chase has been holding out for a new contract. Even if he does play in the game, he stated he would be limited in action.
That creates a situation where the Patriots could potentially face a Bengals offense without their top two receiving weapons, Chase and Higgins, on the field.
With Tee Higgins (hamstring) expected to miss Sunday's opener vs. New England and Ja'Marr Chase still listed as questionable amidst contract talks, the #Bengals have elevated Kendrick Pryor from the practice squad.

This could create a great opportunity for the Patriots to pull off a monumental upset on the road.
There are still some major questions surrounding the Patriots’ offense, but they should have one of the better defensive units in the NFL. This game could be much tougher than initially expected for quarterback Joe Burrow and the Bengals.
Things could get interesting if the Jacoby Brissett-led Patriots offense can rack up a few scoring drives.
