AMRITSAR: On the last day of campaigning, SAD(B) candidate from Amritsar East assembly constituency, Bikram Singh Majithia gave slogans of ‘vote for change’ and ‘vote for hope’.
While talking to mediapersons here on Friday, Majithia alleged that the Amritsar East assembly constituency, from which PPCC chief Navjot Singh Sidhu was elected in 2017, has been grossly neglected. “He talks of the Punjab Model, but you should visit the
constituency to see his own constituency model. Amritsar East is like war-torn Kabul, Kandhar areas, where there is no trace of development,” he quipped.
People of the Amritsar East constituency should vote for change and vote for hope, he added. The Sidhu couple lied about giving jobs to the youth and were never available to the people, he alleged.
Reacting to the ‘opening’ of Bhandari Bridge by Sidhu, Majithia claimed it was nothing but a political frustration.
