President Donald Trump receiving a DoorDash delivery at the White House from one Sharon Simmons triggered a major controversy that it was nothing but a PR tactic and Simmons was a known MAGA supporter. A grandmother of 10, Simmons completed more than 14,000 deliveries and has been working with DoorDash since 2022. But it was not clear why the 58-year-old was flown from Arkansas and why a local DoorDasher was not chosen for the job.
Trump reportedly tipped Simmons $100 after she handed him over two bags of McDonald's on Monday. As she stood alongside him during a press conference, he asked her if she supports transgender athletes in women's sports.
