Married At First Sight stars were locked in a fiery clash tonight as they confronted Whitney and Matt over their 'affair'.
The pair had originally been married to Duka and Gemma respectively but they decided to conduct their own relationship together after both of them agreed things weren't working out with their partners. As a result, the pair begged to re-join the process as a new couple, which was eventually granted by the E4 show's experts.
As they returned to the show today, a huge row broke out between Matt and Whitney and the other stars. Some even refused to look at them, whilst others shouted at them over what they'd done.
During a discussion about Matt's split from Gemma, Chanita said: "Everyone felt for her," before Zoe quickly chimed in to add: "Not everyone felt for her though. Whitney was sat there basically saying she doesn't give a s*** anymore."
Whitney then defended herself, adding: "No I said I wouldn't change anything I've done. If you want to quote me babe, quote me correctly," before insisting that her and Matt were the real deal and wanted to give things a go.
Speaking to the cameras, Zoe then added: "She's sat there last week saying she didn't give a f*** and she's proud that she didn't give a f*** and now she's saying she doesn't feel guilty," before things returned to the confrontation inside.
"But the thing is you said we need to show you we're genuine," Whitney began to say, as Zoe interrupted and added: "Yes prove me wrong. I still agree with that." Whitney then said: "I have no interest in proving you wrong. You're not the judge, jury and execution."
It comes after Matt admitted he regretted how his split from Gemma played out - but not that it happened.
Taking to Instagram at the time, Matt said: "So if I’ve got any regrets from last night’s episode, which I knew it would come. It was that production asked me not to speak to Gemma until the dinner party, and stupidly out of frustration I listened, and that was the first time I’d actually listened to production and did what they asked me to do.
"Bearing in mind me and Gemma had been broke up for a week prior to this filming, we had called it a day after the commitment ceremony and we agreed to be friends, then it got heated the next day and we just didn’t speak since. But to put someone in a position where they are finding out in front of all those people in hindsight it’s f****ing awful, it’s absolutely awful. And that there, regardless of whether me and Gemma were getting on, that bit there is my biggest regret of the whole production."
Whitney had also insisted that Duka - her groom - knew what was going on too.
"He [Duka] knew, he knew before everything happened," she added, "The minute that Matthew and I had a sparky thing, I looked at him and thought ‘ooh, maybe I fancy him, this might be something’, I went and told Duka.
"I had a long conversation, a really, really nice conversation with Duka about it. Matthew and Duka also had a conversation after that, like bro, man to man conversation. Duka gave his blessing and said go ahead there’s nothing between us, I don’t fancy her, she’s not for me. Then I watch tonight and he’s saying it happened behind his back and she’ll regret it in five years’ time."
