Married At First Sight UK's Amy Christophers hopes Sophie Brown now "understands" the impact of trolling after she received vile comments on her body.
The sports presenter, 36, demanded "no one should be commenting on anybody’s weight" following Sophie's recent trolling.
Sophie was left shaken after she was flooded with hurtful comments about her weight following a night out in Manchester.
"They were really horrible. A few people called me a whale, one said, 'It looks like she ate Sophie'.
"I know I've put on a bit of weight since the show, but who cares? Not everything should be about the way you look. It crushed my confidence," she told Closer Magazine.
Yet Amy was left “utterly devastated” last year after her co-stars, Sophie and Adrian Sanderson, allegedly allowed body shaming remarks to blossom about her on their Instagram Live.
During the Married At First Sight UK's Christmas reunion show, Amy kissed Sophie's match, Johnathan Wileman.
"Jonathan doesn't like curvy women?!! Hmmmm Amy?" one follower commented under Sophie's video, as another added, "I thought Jonathan didn't like big girls?"
The pair stated that they didn’t notice the messages at the time.
Amy has now told the Mirror: “It’s a real shame that Sophie has had to experience what she incited against me, first-hand. I’d never wish this on anyone, especially a perfect stranger.
"We’ve never met or even spoken, she has no idea what I look like in real life. The impact of her agreeing with and laughing at fat-shaming comments about me on her Instagram live with Adrian at Christmas continues to this day.
"I understand why she reacted in such a bitter way, and why she looked to her followers to make her feel better. But I hope that she now understands that endorsing that behaviour, for five minutes of gratification, wasn’t worth it at the expense of my mental health."
She added: "It’s been reported on in the past that I had to have a termination for medical reasons and the impacts of sending trolls to fat-shame me caused a relapse in my relationship with my body.
"When a baby dies in utero and you have no choice but to terminate a pregnancy, your relationship with your body changes. To be on the receiving end of a targeted attack in the lead-up to the anniversary of losing my twins, caused me immense pain and resurfaced my negative feelings about my body.
"I think that in 2023 no one should be commenting on anybody’s weight. We should be celebrating everyone’s individuality and not criticise them. We women in particular need to stick together."
Amy was matched with Joshua Christie on the show in 2021, while Sophie, 30, was coupled up with Johnathan Wileman in 2022.
The pair had their differences during their time together, with one episode showing Johnathan warning Sophie not to lift weights in the gym.
He said: "I never personally want a girl that's huge like bodybuilder legs and a bodybuilder body and someone that's really built up."
