BHOPAL: Dacoits are back into action in Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh.
Kalli Gurjar, a listed dacoit carrying bounty on his head triggered panic among villagers in Morena district firing shots and thrashing family of a girl he wishes to marry, police said.
They say he has ‘fallen in love’ with a girl in a village under Pahargarh Police station. However his proposal for marriage was rejected by her family.
Kalli got angry and reached village along with his gang-members and rouged up her uncle. Gang members fired several shots in the air and left the village threatening to kill her family members if his wedding proposal was not accepted.
Police teams were sent to the village after receiving a complaint from her family members. Search operation has been initiated on the matter. Kalli Gurjar is wanted by police in MP and UP. There are several cases registered against him.
