Police officers recovered a machete hidden down the trousers of a teenager after he was arrested in connection with a St Ann's robbery. Nottinghamshire Police says two teenagers were arrested after reports of a robbery in Pym Street on Wednesday (December 14).
The force says the victim was reportedly lured out of his address, before being attacked and having his mobile phone taken. Patrols in the city centre a week later on December 21 then noticed two wanted teenagers in Exchange Walk.
Two teenagers, aged 15 and 18, were arrested on suspicion of robbery. Police say the 18-year-old was also arrested over possession of an offensive weapon.

Sergeant Rich Tiernan said: "This was a good result for the team. We were on patrol looking for the two males and found them in Exchange Walk. One of the males was also in possession of a machete hidden down his trousers. It was a double result.
"This blade has now been taken out of the hands of a potentially dangerous person. It also shows our commitment and drive to take knives off our city streets and deal with those who carry them."
