The M62 near Warrington has reopened following a fatal crash that claimed the life of a man from Wirral. The 61-year-old died in hospital on Saturday as a result of his injuries.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the eastbound carriageway close to junction 10 for Croft Interchange in the early hours of that morning (April 29). The collision involved two cars - a grey Mercedes and a silver Skoda Fabia.
The driver of the Skoda sustained serious injuries and was taken to Warrington District General Hospital. Police later confirmed the man, aged 61 from Wirral, had died.
