A driver was rushed to hospital after their car flipped over a central reservation and ended up on its roof.
Merseyside Police rushed to the M62 in between junctions four (The Rocket) and five (Huyton) at around 4.05pm on Wednesday, September 7, following reports of a vehicle on its roof. Once at the scene officers found a black Toyota on its roof on the westbound carriageway.
The driver was travelling out of the city when the incident happened and reported their car flipped over the central reservation and ended up on its roof. Three vehicles were involved in the crash and everyone was out of their cars by the time the emergency services arrived.

Officers from Merseyside Police said the driver was "very lucky" to only have minor injuries. They were taken to hospital for further treatment.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said: "Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service attended a road traffic collision on the M62, westbound at the junction 5 exit. Crews were alerted at 4.03pm and on scene at 4.11pm. Two fire engines attended.
"On arrival crews found three vehicles had been involved in a collision. One of the vehicles was on its roof in lane two of the carriageway. All occupants of all vehicles had self-extricated prior to fire service arrival. Merseyside Police and North West Ambulance Service also attended.
"One person was taken to hospital by paramedics for further assessment. Fire crews left the scene at 4.37pm handed the incident over to the police."
The road was closed for several hours while emergency services worked to recover the black Toyota. The road reopened just after 6pm.
