A dog that has been in the care of the Scottish SPCA for more than 1,300 days is desperate to find his forever home.
David, a lurcher cross, is between six and nine years old and although he would love a new family to call his own, he has sadly been continuously overlooked and remains at the charity's Dunbartonshire and West Scotland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.
He is described as "easy-going" and "playful" with staff adding that he is also "very well-mannered".

Irene Mineo, senior animal care assistant, said: “Despite having a difficult start in life, David is an easy-going boy with a wonderful smile. He is very playful and would happily spend all day in the garden with his toys if he could.
“David does have a high prey drive so needs to stay on a lead but he is very well-mannered and walks nicely by your side. He loves long walks and is fantastic company.
“Although we feel he would be best suited to a home where he is the only animal, he does enjoy bumping into other dogs when out and about, especially if their temperament is calm like his.
“David will need a new family who have experience of sight hound breeds or have done their research into their prey drive and are confident they can help him be a model canine citizen.
“After spending so long in our care, we would love for David to find his happy ever after.”
