Gera Ponce gushed with pride after Luis Diaz's emotional tribute.
The Colombian winger was awarded the player of the match award following his electric performance from the bench in last night's Champions League semi-final. Liverpool FC's place in UEFA's showpiece final came under threat after a resolute Villarreal fightback saw their two goal advantage from the first leg wiped out by half-time.
Diaz was introduced at the break as the Reds produced an outstanding second half recovery to win 3-2 on a dramatic evening at the Estadio de la Cerámica. The 25-year-old was instrumental in the turnaround and scored the second goal when he headed home Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross.

Diaz raised his hands in the shape of a heart as he dedicated the goal to his long-term partner and their daughter Roma. The LFC star shared a snap of the celebration on Instagram with the caption: "G.R. My princesses."
Gera has been in a relationship with Diaz since April 2016 and regularly shows support for the Reds number 23 on Instagram. She re-shared the post on her account and penned a touching message after the goal.
She said: "We love you and we are infinitely proud of you."
