Lucknow: Exhibition highlights work done under BJP regimes

LUCKNOW: A five-day painting exhibition, ‘Bharat Ram Rajya Ki Aur’ highlighting the development work done under the BJP regimes in the state and the centre began at Kala Stort Art Gallery on Sunday.

Jointly inaugurated by former MLC Vindhyavasini Kumar, president Utkarsh Lalit Kala Academy Rajendra Pundir and some veteran artists, the exhibition has been curated by artist Girish Tiwari.

There are 51 paintings in the exhibition. Of these, 10 are of renowned artists who have been invited to put their work on display. These artists are Umesh Kumar Saxena, Rajendra Prasad, Sunil Saxena, Shiv Balak Murthy, Lalit Mishra, Rajendra Mishra, Manju Shukla, Akhilesh Nigam, Ajit Singh and Rajiv Mishra. These paintings made by these artists are not based on the theme of the exhibition. They will be felicitated with lifetime achievement awards .

Creators of 12 best paintings will be awarded during the valedictory session.
