Love Your Garden's Frances Tophill has opened up on her close friendship with Alan Titchmarsh.
The two experts have worked together to transform people's gardens on the popular ITV programme. Frances has since gone on to establish a successful career as a TV personality as she now also presents Gardeners' World.
Frances has revealed she has always had the support of Alan throughout her rise to the top. The 34-year-old explained that Alan became particularly worried during a difficult period when she was actively looking for a house but continued to be outbid - as The Express reports.

In an interview with the Sunday Post, she said: "I called him the other day to tell him about my new home because he was very concerned about me. I’d been trying to buy a house for years, then it was the pandemic, and it was all very competitive.
"I said if I didn’t get it, I could just buy myself a little field and live in my van." However, Alan was relieved to find out Frances did not need to live in a van as she eventually secured her new home in Devon.
Love Your Garden is filmed in cities across the country and Frances said she still "needs a home on wheels" for her life on the road.
