A shoutout to a corner shop famous for their overpriced Prime has gotten a shout-out from Edinburgh comedian Iain Stirling on ITV2's Love Island.
Wakey Wines, a shope in Wakefield, shot to viral fame after the owner posted online about overcharging as much as £100 for one bottle of the popular Prime Energy drink, reports Yorkshire Live. The drink, created by YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul, is almost impossible to find in the UK, and has been priced at over £100 by certain store owners.
And the Wakey Wines store, known for its overpricing, was mentioned on Thursday night's (January 26) episode of Love Island, as two new bombshells arrived and turned the villa upside down.

Spencer Wilks and Ellie Spence arrived just in time for the recoupling and they were given first choice on who they wanted to pick. Ellie coupled up with Ron, leaving his former couple Lana devastated.
Ellie said: "I would like to couple up with this boy because from what I have seen so far he seems really funny and handsome. I don't think he's met his match yet and I'm really looking forward to getting to know him better."
New boy Spencer chose single islander Olivia, and said: "I would like to couple up with this girls because during her time in the villa she has had her ups and downs, she seems genuine and straight up, so, I would like to get to know her on a deeper level."
And after the recoupling, Edinburgh's Iain Stirling decided that now was the perfect time to make a cheeky Wakey Wines reference.
He said: “In the re-coupling, new boy Spencer chose Olivia while Ellie indulged in the craze that is sweeping the nation, stealing Ron from Larna. It's this week’s Wakey Wines.”
Viewers went straight to social media to share their reaction to the tense but hilarious moment. One Twitter user wrote: "Wakey wines will be charging Iain £100 for mentioning their name #loveisland.”
Another said: "No way love island mentioned wakey wines #LoveIsland.”
And a third wrote: "World has gone barmey, Wakey Wines getting a mention hahahahahah #loveisland.”
More comments read: "not wakey wines getting a mention on love island #loveisland.”
Others said: "No way did wakey wines get a shout out on love island #loveisland.”
And finally, one concluded: "PLEASE. did Iain just reference wakey wines #LoveIsland.”
Love Island resumes on Friday, January 27 at 9pm on ITV2. Catch-up episodes are available on the ITV Hub.
