Love Island star Shaughna Phillips has called Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald “an absolute delight” after meeting her in the green room of a morning breakfast show.

The Londoner, who appeared on the sixth season of Love Island, was impressed with the Dublin politician after they met on Good Morning Britain.

Shaughna, 28, shared a photo with the Sinn Fein leader, captioning the pic: “The president of Sinn Fein, an absolute delight."
