Love Island is set to be hit with a bombshell tonight as secrets are spilled in the villa after Ellie Spence and Tom Clare snuck away to the terrace for a clandestine kiss.
The ITV2 reality dating show returned with another explosive episode this week as the winter series gets well underway in sunny South Africa.
Love Island has seen multiple romances blossom in the past days as the Islanders mark over two weeks since they walked into the villa and met freshly minted host Maya Jama.
However, a new secret could now divide the contestants, after Tom and Ellie shared a kiss in Sunday evening’s episode, out of view of their fellow Islanders.
Tom was fresh from a cooling off of his romance with Zara Lackenby-Brown, following a divisive game of truth of dare.
While Tom had told Olivia Hawkins he hoped they could explore their connection once again, in scenes earlier in the episode, it seems he might have changed his mind later in the night.
The feeling was certainly mutual as the bombshell law firm executive shared a kiss with the semi-professional footballer, after she had received the brush off from Ron Hall.
However, their secret might already be out in the villa as ITV2 spoilers for tonight’s episode of Love Island have teased their fellow Islanders' reaction.
It starts when farmer Will Young has something he wants to get off his chest and takes Jessie Wynter, of Love Island Australia fame and who he is currently coupled up with, Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammad for a catch up on the terrace.
Will reveals: “I have had a lot on my mind today. I got told a little bit of information and I don’t know what to do with it.”
Tanya asks what he’s referring to and he replies: “So basically, Ellie pulled me today and said yesterday that she kissed Tom out on the terrace.”
Tanya and Jessie gasp in shock as Will says: “Don’t make it a big deal.”
Shaq says: “Wait, hold on, hold on. What?” before Jessie adds: “We better duck for cover…”
With the secret out, how long is it until Tom learns his private kiss hasn’t stayed so private…
The scenes have been reminiscent of similar drama during the summer instalment of Love Island, which saw Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Jay Younger share a series of sneaky kisses on the villa terrace.
When the truth came out, it split Ekin-Su from Davide Sanclimenti, who she was coupled up with at the time, before the pair reconciled later in the show’s run and went on to win the show by a landslide.
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
