Love Island star Liam Reardon has opened up on his split from ex-girlfriend Millie Court for the first time, admitting that he has struggled to come to terms with how the public view him following their shock breakup.
The Welsh heartthrob, 23, who won the ITV2 show alongside blonde bombshell Millie in 2021, moved out of their home a number of weeks ago and has been finding it difficult getting into the swing of single life without her.
Millie and Liam had enjoyed a whirlwind romance, having moved in together after just a short few months.
However, the pair called it quits on their love story in July, and rumours quickly circulated that Liam was the one of blame for the demise of their relationship as speculation about his 'cheating ways' emerged.
While Millie has been living it up on girly getaways since their split, Liam has kept more of a low profile - but the handsome reality TV star broke his silence on the drama during a candid Instagram Q&A where he admitted that life has been 'difficult' since his split with Millie.
Sharing a photo of himself from this summer on his Instagram stories, Liam penned: "A lot of you asked how I've been coping.
"I'm doing good thank you to all that asked. It's been a difficult few months, with moving from my home in Essex to moving back to Wales and now back living back in Essex on my own.
"Break-ups can be very hard and being in the public eye just make it that extra bit more difficult to deal with especially when you have rumours etc coming out and people judging your character off something which isn't true.
"But I've been down and when you're down you can either stay down or do what you can to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and move forward. And that's what I'm doing.
"Just want to say love to all you guys who follow and support me, especially over these past few months it means the world."
Liam's honest confession comes after reports that he has signed up for the next series of Celebs Go Dating, following his high-profile split with Millie earlier this summer.
The 23-year-old is said to have signed up for the E4 reality show just weeks after Millie, 26, confirmed the split on Instagram with an emotional statement.
The Love Island winners made the decision to end their romance after almost a year of dating, but Liam is now said to be turning to Celebs Go Dating for romance.
A source told The Sun : "Liam is going to make an explosive entrance on Celebs Go Dating when he makes his debut several episodes into the new run.
“He may only be recently single but things weren't working out between him and Millie for a while so he feels ready to throw himself back into the dating pool.
At the end of the day, the show is a bit of fun and he had a great experience on Love Island, so figured why not give reality TV romance another whirl?”
The insider added Liam isn't expecting to find the love of his life, but looking forward to getting back on the dating scene.
Celebs Go Dating producers are said to be “thrilled” to have signed Liam, with the source adding: “Bosses are really happy as Liam is the perfect signing for the show.
"He's popular with the demographic who watch, very easy on the eye and has his fair share of headlines recently, which always helps create some buzz around the series.”
Liam released a statement following his split with Millie, in which he admitted he was 'so gutted' that they had called it quits.
