Laura Whitmore has announced a very exciting career move. The presenter took to Instagram to share her next project following the end of Love Island series 8, which saw Ekin-Su and Davide win the show.
The 37-year-old has confirmed that she will be taking on a huge acting role, making her West End debut in 2:22 A Ghost Story. She'll be joined on stage by Busted's Matt Willis, Archers actor Felix Scott and actress Tamsin Carroll.
Posting the news on social media, the mum-of-one wrote: "West End baby! Just little aul me making my west end debut. Anyone who knows me well knows live theatre and the stage is my passion! I’ve been so excited to share this.

"I’m a huge fan of the previous productions and @dannyrobinswithoneb ‘s script is sheer brilliance. Thank you @dunster_matthew @isabelclaire01 for trusting me. The talented cast and crew and my acting agents @theartistspartnership for believing in me. Previews of our production start September 6th. F**k that's soon!! Tickets on sale now."
She later confirmed she would be taking on the role of Jenny in the critically-acclaimed psychological thriller. Laura was supported by her husband and Love Island narrator Iain Stirling who posed outside the theatre and wrote: "Currently running around central London screaming 'my wife is going to be in this'."
Laura won't be the only new addition, as the supernatural thriller play written by Danny Robins will see a full cast change next month. From September 6, audiences will be able to see Busted singer Matt Willis take to the stage alongside Archers actor Felix Scott and Australian actress Tamsin Carroll.
It will be the fourth edition of the play and will run until January 8. The cast currently starring in the production in the Criterion Theatre - where it will continue for it's fourth run - include Harry Potter star Tom Felton and Doctor Who's Mandip Gill.
The West End show has previously seen cast members including pop star Lily Allen, podcast host Giovanna Fletcher, Encanto’s Stephanie Beatriz and Inbetweeners actor James Buckley. The play tells the story of Jenny, who believes her new home is haunted, but her husband Sam doesn't agree and the argument continues with dinner guests, Lauren and Ben.
