Love Island's Coco Lodge 'not surprised' Summer and Josh are no longer together

Love Island 's Coco Lodge said she's "not surprised" to hear Summer Botwe and Josh Le Grove are now just friends, with her saying he's "lapping up the attention" after the show.

Summer and Josh, both 22, were understood to have been 'seeing' each other after being dumped from the villa on the ITV2 series, which concluded with a reunion last night.

Following the episode though, Summer confirmed: "I would like to clarify that me and [Josh] are only friends and haven't decided to pursue things romantically at this time."

And while the news may have disappointed some fans, their former co-star Coco, 27, said during an exclusive Facebook Live interview with the Mirror that she isn't surprised.

Discussing Summer and Josh being just friends, Coco told us this afternoon: "I'm not surprised. I think she did quite like him but he's obviously come out to this new, exciting life."

Sharing her opinion about her former co-stars, she further commented: "I think him and a few other of the boys are just lapping up the attention and enjoying it."

Coco added: "I would say that when she was still in the villa, like I said on the show reunion, he was moving a bit crazy - enjoying people recognising him and that's absolutely fine."

Coco - who is said to have rowed with Summer after saying on a podcast that she could have slept with Josh - added: "It's funny how the woman gets blamed and the man doesn't."

ITV viewers noticed tension between Coco and Summer during the reunion, which aired last night - with the pair among the former islanders who took part in the one-off special.

During a discussion about islanders getting together after leaving the villa, Summer said: "I know someone who wishes they would have got with someone, but we move."

Coco responded by saying it was "schoolgirl s**t" and said her comments had been "banter," with Summer commenting: "Friends don't say certain things, hun, but alright."

The Mirror approached Summer and Josh's reps for comment.
