Love Island's Maya Jama confirms winter ITV series final date – and it's sooner than you think

Love Island host Maya Jama has confirmed the finale date of Winter Love Island 2023.

The gorgeous star took to social media ahead of Wednesday's episode to reveal the news.

In the post, she told followers: "Guys, I have some very, very exciting news.

"The Love Island final is going to be on… drumroll please… Monday 13th March on ITV2 and ITVX."

Maya announced the news while wearing a beautiful blood-orange dress that showed off her cleavage.

She continued teasing: "It is going to be major, you don’t want to miss it. I will see you then," while blowing a kiss to the camera.

In the comment section, fans posted who they wanted to win the winter series.

The news of the finale comes after Love Island was hit with hundreds of Ofcom complaints.

The ITV2 dating competition aired dramatic scenes as of recent episodes, with Casa Amor causing havoc for the Islanders whilst the fallout in Movie Night saw some relationships hit the rocks.

Casa Amor saw a lot of couples changing their minds before the house's antics were aired to the whole villa in the dreaded Movie Night.

There, the Islanders learned who encouraged who to cheat - and exactly what went down in the second villa.

Love Island received 266 complaints for its show on February 23rd and a further 71 complaints for the episode on February 22nd. On February 23rd, the majority of complaints were about Tanya’s behaviour towards Shaq and Olivia’s behaviour towards Kai.

For the episode on February 22nd, most complaints were about Olivia's behaviour and treatment of Kai, whilst others expressed their concern for Will's mental health as the fall out from Movie Night began.

After Movie Night, Shaq broke down in tears as he watched Tanya kiss Martin whilst in Casa Amor.

Despite Shaq's visible upset, Tanya didn't apologise for what happened - resulting in some fans branding her "self-centred and immature". After watching the footage, Shaq fumed: "So it was just a peck, yeah, and he went to kiss you? So you're lying now?"

But Tanya refused to back down and said: "If you're looking for something to be angry about, this isn't it."

"I cant lie, I feel like she's a liar, I feel like she's full of s**t," Shaq later told the boys.
