Love Island 2023 winners 'sealed' weeks before final as couple make big decision

Love Island 2023 viewers are convinced they already know who will win the latest series of the show.

Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall are tipped to storm to victory after recent drama in the villa, and a big moment on Sunday night.

Ron pulled Lana for a private chat and discussed his feelings for her, before making a huge gesture.

The pairing didn't have the easiest starts on the show, with Ron having his head turned at least three times - and Lana was left betrayed.

Lana even coupled up with another boy at one point, before realising it was Ron she wanted to be with.

As Casa Amor came along, Lana and Ron stayed loyal and saw it as the ultimate test for their relationship - while other couples faced huge drama.

On Sunday night, Ron decided to make things official with Lana and asked her to be his girlfriend.

Ron told her: "I can’t stop thinking about yesterday’s recoupling and about your speech and I thought when you said that you’re falling, we are stronger than ever, I don’t think anyone comes close to us.

"I’ve never had a relationship or anything like that so for me it’s like a massive thing."

He then asked her: "I want you to be my girlfriend. I'm asking you will you be my girlfriend?"

Lana was thrilled and immediately said yes, before they shared the news with their co-stars.

After the moment aired, viewers took to Twitter to predict the pair were going to be this year's winners.

One fan said: "THE SET UP FOR LANA AND RON TO WIN IS CRAZYYYY."

Another tweeted: "Ron & Lana are about to win cause Will couldn’t keep his tongue in his mouth during casa amor."

A third added: "Ron has asked Lana to be his girlfriend! I now know these guys are definitely going to win."

Meanwhile a fourth viewer said: "I said from day one that Ron and Lana will win the show… let’s see if that happens, they’re one step closer."

It comes after Martin Akinola became the latest Islander to be dumped from the villa on Friday night, following a surprise recoupling.

Martin had returned from Casa Amor with Tanya Manhenga last week, causing drama with her partner Shaq Muhammad.

After a series of rows and mixed messages, Tanya decided Martin wasn't for her and Shaq was who she wanted to be with.

But her antics with Martin in Casa Amor were exposed during Movie Week, leading to another row and Shaq struggled with what he’d seen.

The pair did talk it through the next day though, and they agreed to reconcile.

Tanya was the last girl to choose who she wanted to pair up with at the fire pit, and it was between Shaq and Martin.

Ultimately, she chose Shaq and declared she loved him - with Martin left single, and therefore dumped from the island.

As he left the show for good, he made one final swipe at Tanya for what she did “wrong” but said there were no hard feelings.

Many viewers were gutted to see Martin go, especially after his hilarious reactions to the videos during Movie Night with him seen tucking into his popcorn as the other Islanders screamed at each other.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
