Love Island 2022 has been the talk of the summer with plenty of explosive recouplings, brutal dumpings, and the return of Casa Amor and Movie Night.
Series 8, which kicked off on Monday, June 6 with twelve original Islanders has seen the arrival of many bombshells and lots of twists and turns along the way.
But the countdown to the series finale is officially on, and the end date is sooner than you think. According to reports, the 2022 series appears to be on track for an eight-week run.

This makes sense as series six and seven both followed the same pattern. With this in mind, it looks like the current season will end on Monday, August 1 .
"There was speculation that ITV might extend the series because ratings have been so impressive this year," a source told The Sun, "But they also know there can be too much of a good thing.
"With Winter Love Island coming back in 2023, bosses want to keep anticipation high and not exhaust the format."
A Love Island spokesperson told WalesOnline: "No date has been confirmed by us."
ITV2 announced the return of winter Love Island recently. The first and only winter Love Island aired in 2020 and saw Paige Turley and Finn Tapp win the show, which took place in South Africa.
Now ITV bosses have confirmed a fresh batch of Islanders will be returning to South Africa on a quest for love and romance. Meanwhile, summer 2023 will then see the dating show return to Mallorca for another eight-week run. Both series will come to ITV2 and ITVX in 2023. You can read more on this here.
Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
