Lorraine Kelly gets ‘stuck in’ as Commonwealth Games volunteer in Glasgow

  • Scottish television presenter Lorraine Kelly volunteered at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow , taking on three distinct roles.
  • Her duties included welcoming the event's workforce, meeting members of Team Scotland's netball squad, and assisting the spectator services team.
  • Kelly said: “There was no way I was missing the chance to get stuck in and be part of this.”
  • The initiative was supported by Allwyn UK, the National Lottery operator and the games’ official volunteer learning and development partner.
  • Alastair Ruxton, chief impact officer at Allwyn UK, said: “Behind every warm welcome, helpful conversation and memorable games moment is a volunteer who has invested their time, energy and enthusiasm to be part of something bigger.”
