Loose Women's Coleen Nolan suddenly takes over as host after 'threat' to ITV co-stars

Coleen Nolan shocked Loose Women viewers on Wednesday when she suddenly took over as the shoe's host after an ad break, as presenter Christine Lampard was nowhere to be seen. And Coleen's unexpected promotion came moments after she jokingly issued a rather sinister threat to her colleagues.

Coleen took her seat on the panel for the first time this week as the ITV lunchtime discussion programme returned for another instalment at 12.30pm and, after the Loose Women aired their thoughts on the value of and concerns surrounding the Government alert that will be sent as a test to millions of mobile phones at 3pm this Sunday, talk turned to reports that some parents are reading true crime stories to children as young as eight.

Coleen was quick to give her opinion, responding: "We don't need an eight-year-old to understand how evil sometimes the world is. Just let them enjoy being eight!"

After colleagues Jane Moore and Kelle Bryan also had their say on the matter, Coleen went onto say how she was 'fascinated' by the forensics surrounding true crime series, before quipping: "I think I could probably bump you all off and get away with it now."

Christine reacted by jokingly shouting: "Security," but was then missing in action after going to an ad break, as, when the show returned there was only Coleen on set to read the next link as she held a mug up and remarked: "I told them not to drink the water," as sinister music then played in the studio, adding: "And now I've bumped them off."

After Coleen teaseed what was to come in the rest on the show and cut to a competition segment, a very much alive Christine then returned to her seat and joked: "It wasn't strong enough...it takes more than that!"
