PASSENGERS arriving at Edinburgh Airport are facing disruption due to what is understood to be a malfunction at the security check-in gates.
Huge queues have formed due to a "techincal issue", sparking long delays among people trying to get to their flights.
Large tailbacks quickly formed and eventually stretched out of the terminal.
The airport said on social media that a “technical issue” was to blame.

The travel chaos comes just as services started to return to normal following a glitch which caused widespread flight disruption earlier in the week.
Many holidaymakers were left stranded overseas after around 2000 flights were cancelled because of an issue with Air Traffic Control.
Flights to and from UK airports were restricted for several hours on Monday afternoon as the fault prevented flight plans from being processed automatically, which meant manual checks were required.
A statement from Edinburgh Airport said: “A technical issue means waits at security are currently longer than usual.
