London travel news LIVE: Euston disruption continues as Network Rail upgrades continue

Passengers are being warned of ongoing disruption at London Euston as major engineering works by Network Rail continue into the week.

The main lines between Milton Keynes Central and Euston are closed until the end of service on Wednesday April 8, with long-distance services terminating at Milton Keynes. Replacement buses are running to Bedford and Potters Bar for onward travel into London.

Passengers travelling from Scotland, the north west and the West Midlands face longer journeys and are advised to check before travelling.

Elsewhere, Easter weekend works have now been completed, including disruption between Preston and Scotland, and reduced services at London Waterloo.

Delays on the A12

There are westbound delays on the A12 and A127 as traffic approaches the closures.

Eastbound traffic is also slow on Ardleigh Green Road, with northbound delays on Gubbins Lane. Additional congestion is possible on the westbound A13 and southbound M11 during peak times as drivers divert onto alternative routes.

Delays on the A10

Traffic is slow on approach to the works with southbound traffic queues back Lordship Lane, northbound traffic queues back beyond Stamford Hill Broadway and westbound traffic queues back beyond Tottenham Hale.

Delays on the A13

Westbound traffic is experiencing significant delays, with queues building back towards Marsh Way.

Eastbound traffic is also slow past the scene at Castle Green, with congestion stretching towards Prince Regents Lane due to onlookers.

Further delays are likely along diversion routes including Renwick Road, Ripple Road and through Dagenham.

DLR line part closed

There is currently no service between Bank / Tower Gateway and Poplar / West India Quay on the DLR.

Please use the Jubilee Line, Elizabeth Line and local London bus services. Allow extra time for your journey.

Minor delays on the Central line

Piccadilly line update

Minor delays on diversion routes around Romford

Traffic is moving along diversion routes via Ardleigh Green Road and Gubbins Lane, although delays of around three to five minutes are being reported.

Similar delays are affecting Gooshays Drive and North Street heading away from Romford.

Metropolitan line resumes good service

Delays on London Road and Waldram Park Road with queues building

A10 delays

Southbound queues stretch beyond Lordship Lane, northbound traffic is backed up to Seven Sisters Road, and westbound delays extend past Tottenham Marshes.

Minor delays continue on the Metropolitan line

Metropolitan line services are experiencing minor delays between Uxbridge and Harrow-on-the-Hill due to a points failure at Uxbridge, while the rest of the line is running normally.

Eastbound trains to skip Barons Court until early June

Until Sunday June 7, eastbound trains will not stop at Barons Court.

Passengers travelling eastbound from the station should take a westbound District or Piccadilly line train and change at Hammersmith.

Those heading to Barons Court eastbound should continue to West Kensington (District line) or Earl’s Court (Piccadilly line) and switch to a westbound service.

Reduced service on the Woolwich Ferry

A reduced one-boat service is in operation on the Woolwich Ferry due to essential maintenance.

The last crossing will depart at 9:40pm from the South Terminal and 10pm from the North Terminal.
