Hollywood a-lister Channing Tatum paid a surprise visit to one of Wexford’s top tourist spots over the weekend.
Channing reportedly had a “lovely time” at Wells House in Gorey, a Victorian House and gardens, where he stopped by for four hours on Sunday and explored the grounds as well as the animal farm.
And the hunky actor, 41, was enamoured by one particular lady during the visit who he nicknamed, “my queen”.
He took to his Instagram where he posted selfies with the lucky lady, a meerkat, who is one of seven meerkats living in the animal enclosure.
The meerkat looked unimpressed as Channing got up close and personal with her, posting a selfie with the text: “My matriarch for the day, she a real one”.

The Magic Mike star then joked that the meerkat was posing for him as he said she was “giving face” before snapping a picture of her eating a meal of yellow insects as he wrote: “Feast my queen”
Channing seemed determined to come back and visit her and as he left, he wrote: “Until we meet again my queen”
Although he did not stay the night in the hotel, he visited everything that Wells House has to offer.
Owner and director of Wells House, Sabine Rosler, told the Irish Mirror: “We were delighted to have him visit us. We were honoured and he had a lovely time.”
Channing is currently the star of Dog, a movie which he co-directed.
He plays the part of a U.S. army ranger called Briggs who is tasked with driving a military working dog from Washington to Arizona so it can attend its handler’s funeral.
The pair go on a touching journey which looks at how Briggs tries to rediscover himself with the help of his canine companion.
