Liverpool have reportedly opened talks with RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi's representatives over a move to Anfield in the summer transfer window. The German goalscorer was tipped to join Borussia Dortmund, but the Reds remain interested in pursuing a deal.
The German club remain favourites to secure the German international with Erling Haaland set to leave the club in the summer, but Liverpool are quietly confident they can strike a deal first.
Adeyemi is attracting interest from all over Europe and the likes of PSG and RB Leipzig are interested in securing the services of the 20-year-old. It has been reported a fee in the region of £35 million would be enough to sign the young striker.

According to Sky Sports Austria, Dortmund now have a basic agreement in place to sign Adeyemi, but the deal is far from complete and they face competition. Liverpool are still in talks with the players representatives and a move to Anfield is certainly not out of the question.
The Salzburg striker burst on to the scene this season with 16 goals in the league in just 24 appearances so it is clear to see why many of Europe's top clubs are keeping a close eye on the 20-year-old.
Dortmund remain in pole position for Adeyemi's signature, but no deal has been agreed and Liverpool are keen to try and derail a potential move for the promising striker.
