While a number of other Premier League teams will be concentrated on transfer business between now and the start ot the season, for Liverpool the focus can be squarely on football.
There may yet be a few players who leave the club in the coming weeks, with the squad in need of some trimming after some exciting arrivals. However, manager Jurgen Klopp will have an excellent idea of what group of players will make up his first-team squad for the upcoming term.
Nevertheless, excitement will surely build around Anfield as the days tick down towards the new campaign, with the start of pre-season training looming larger on the horizon.

What midfielder should Liverpool look to sign next summer? Let us know in the comments section below!
Klopp's Henderson stance
Klopp has heaped praise on Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson in a new documentary, potentially offering an insight into why the club will wait until next summer to sign a new central midfielder.
Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham and former Monaco man Aurelien Tchouameni - who has since move to Real Madrid - have both been strongly linked with a move to Anfield. However, it is now anticipated that the club will wait until the end of 2022-23 before strengthening that area.
While some supporters believe Liverpool should be looking to move on from Henderson, the Reds boss believes he's still crucial to the team.
"He has speed, he has endurance, so he can run for ages," Klopp said. "Defensive skills are great, offensive skills are really great: awareness, vision, passing. I expect from him nothing else than I expect from all the others: be the best version of yourself as often as [is] somehow possible. That gives us a good chance to win football games."

Mane's agent comments on salary rumours
The agent for ex-Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has dismissed suggestions that the player left the club due to wage demands.
Mane signed for Bayern Munich in a £35 million deal earlier this month, bringing an end to six phenomenal years on Merseyside. The player has previously declared he wanted a new challenge, although some reports have said he was seeking a larger pay packet elsewhere.
When asked about those claims, Mane's PR agent Bacary Cisse provided further clarity.
"Those are false rumours," Cisse said. "We didn't want to talk about that. A player of Sadio's calibre can't be earning the salary that people are speaking about. The numbers circulating are completely wrong.
"Sadio was already earning more than that when he joined Liverpool from Southampton. He extended his contract in 2018 and his salary was much higher than the numbers circulating in the media."

Klopp warning on Werner
Liverpool are said to retain an interest in Chelsea forward Timo Werner a couple of years on from their failed attempt to sign the forward.
The Blues won the battle for the Germany international, who was rated as one of the game's most exciting young forwards before his switch to English football. However, he has struggled to produce in the Premier League, with his speed and work-rate not yet yielding goals.
Liverpool have signed Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz in the last couple of transfer windows, meaning a move for Werner would surely be unlikely at this point.
