Liverpool have made an underwhelming start to the new campaign, but they have the perfect chance to kickstart their season when they travel to a Manchester United side who are currently in disarray on Monday night.
The Reds are already four points behind Manchester City and they could even be seven points behind their title rivals, who play on Sunday, by the time they entertain their arch rivals at Old Trafford in a crunch clash.
With injury problems mounting and speculation over transfers still floating around, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest transfer news from in and around Anfield.
Klopp gives Ten Hag advice
Jurgen Klopp has advised Erik ten Hag to ignore the "sharks" who will be gunning for the Dutchman after Manchester United's nightmare start to the new season.
United endured their worst ever season in the Premier League era last term and were hoping that Ten Hag could revive their fortunes after his trophy-laden stint in the Netherlands with Ajax. However, Ten Hag has had a rough start to life in England, with United currently bottom of the table after thumping defeats against Brighton and Brentford.

Manchester United's £60million capture of Casemiro could have major ramifications for Liverpool's pursuit of Jude Bellingham, according to a new report.
The Borussia Dortmund starlet has been earmarked as the Reds' top transfer target, with the Liverpool hierarchy prepared to bide their time in a bid to snap up the 19-year-old midfield maestro. However, Real Madrid are now expected to rival Klopp's side in the race for Bellingham after raking in a substantial sum for Casemiro from United.
And that unexpected windfall could end up costing Liverpool in more ways than one if Bellingham does move on from the Bundesliga next summer.
Agbonlahor bites back
TalkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor has hit back at Klopp after the Reds boss took a shot at the former Aston Villa man earlier this week.
Klopp blasted Agbonlahor for his comments on Manchester United and Ten Hag in the wake of their 4-0 loss to Brentford, with Klopp claiming that he almost ended up phoning in to row with Agbonlahor.
But Agbonlahor has now fired back at the Reds chief - insisting that he doesn't need Klopp to tell him "how to be a pundit".
