Jurgen Klopp has frequently stated in recent days that the club are looking to bring in a new midfielder. The club’s situation worsened on Wednesday night after the injury to captain Jordan Henderson.
After hearing the news about a possible deal for Arthur, plenty of Liverpool fans have already been expressing their thoughts and emotions. Some took to social media, while others have voiced their opinions on Reddit.
One Liverpool fan wrote: “He's a Brazilian international, he can't be that bad, right, right?”
While another added: “If he plays 10 games this season and that allows Thiago and Henderson to recover more between games, it'll be worth it. Smart move in my mind, guy has good pedigree, is relatively experienced, and can obviously play, but no long term commitment required. Big issue in my mind would be fitness - how long it might take him to get up to speed. But let's see.”
And another said: “Makes a lot of sense. Won't cost a fortune, should fit in with the Brazilian lads and still only 26. Happy enough with it.”
