Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling has questioned whether Jurgen Klopp should be spending so much time with the media amid Liverpool’s struggles.
The Reds are in the midst of a domestic crisis having lost to Nottingham Forest and Leeds United in their last two Premier League matches. As a result of their slow start to the season, they are currently 15 points behind leaders Arsenal.
Klopp's side have accrued almost as many points from six Champions League matches (15) as they have from a dozen games in the Premier League (16). And speaking on Saturday afternoon, Stelling was critical of Klopp for engaging in so many interviews amid a dreadful run of form for Liverpool.

He kicked things off by saying: “I have to say, Jurgen Klopp is very generous, very generous with his time for the media.
“They’re down in ninth place, they’ve lost against Leeds, should he be spending so much time with the media? It is a genuine question.”
Paul Merson, in the studio with Stelling for Soccer Saturday, immediately shot down the presenter’s remarks, saying: “What do you want him to do? Sit in his front room moping?”
Before Stelling added: “He is Liverpool’s coach, isn’t he? Hang on a second, he has had a game on Saturday, a game in midweek as well.
“He has got media commitments galore on Friday, that he will do. But I just wonder if Liverpool fans feel that they should be seeing a little less of him.”
Former Rangers forward Kris Boyd, another member of the Soccer Saturday panel, then said in response: “No, I don't think that is the case. Managers will do their work.”
