Liverpool fans can't understand why Man City got away with 'Karius moment' against Crystal Palace

Liverpool fans have taken to social media to express their disbelief at Crystal Palace having a goal ruled prior to their second-half collapse against Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon.

An own goal from City defender John Stones followed by a Joachim Andersen header saw Patrick Vieira's side race into an early two-goal lead against the reigning Premier League champions. However, forward Jordan Ayew thought he had handed the Eagles a further advantage when he coolly slotted the ball past Ederson after Odsonne Edouard was on hand to intercept the Brazilian's kick.

With Palace going on to spurn golden opportunities to add to their lead in the first half, City fought back through an Erling Haaland hat-trick and Bernardo Silva to eventually win 4-2 and Liverpool supporters have taken to social media to express their dismay at the ruling of referee Darren England for his decision to rule out Ayew's early effort - which could have altered the result in south Manchester on Saturday.
