A young boy has died after an emergency incident at a soft play centre in Birmingham.
An air ambulance was called yesterday at around 4:30pm to take the youngster to Birmingham Children’s Hospital from Crash Bang Wallop, on Lindon Road in Walsall, near Birmingham.
Paramedics found the boy in a critical condition and gave him vital life support at the scene, Birmingham Live reported.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We were called to a play centre on Lindon Road, Walsall yesterday (1 Feb) to reports a child had gone into cardiac arrest.
"An eight-year-old boy was taken to hospital but despite the best efforts of emergency services, he sadly died.
"His death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the coroner."
Crash Bang Wallop have been approached for comment while the venue posted on social media to say they would be closed today.
Under the post, people commented, wishing the family well.
Another person wrote: "Thank you to everyone at Crash Bang Wallop, for all of your kindness, help and support this evening. It must of been very traumatic for you all.
"I cannot thank you enough for looking after my family."
Another person who witnessed the incident added: "Literally haven't stopped thinking about him or his poor mom and brother! The staff was amazing!
"Sending love to everyone involved! Mom was so strong for her boy."
