Sainsbury's says its café at Emersons Green will remain open after the store announced it will be closing 200 eateries in a shake-up of its indoor dining, putting 2,000 jobs at risk.
Cafes across the region are set to close in the Spring as the supermarket launches consultations on plans to shut less popular hot food counters and make changes to how it runs bakeries.
The supermarket has confirmed that 67 cafes will remain open while the company reviews the roll-out. In the south west, they are Emersons Green, Stroud, Barnstaple, Truro and Torquay.
