Lifting alcohol ban in football stands could put good behaviour at risk – Powell

A close ally of Andy Burnham has warned that his suggestion to repeal the ban on football fans drinking in the stands could put the “good behaviour” it has encouraged “at risk”.

The Prime Minister had said it was unfair for football fans to be singled out when supporters of other sports were able to drink while watching their teams.
