Niall Horan has called out his best pal Lewis Capaldi and branded him a 'liar' following claims he made in his Netflix documentary.
The West Lothian singer, 26, released his documentary, How I'm Feeling Now, which focussed on Lewis' recording process for his second album as well as his Tourette's diagnosis and anxiety journey. The emotional film was met with rave reviews from fans and critics, but Lewis' pal Niall has corrected one of the stars' claims.
One Direction star Niall appeared on Scott Mills’ Radio 2 show and called the Scots singer a liar after claiming he did his own washing during the Netflix film.
When quizzed on whether or not Lewis actually washes his own clothes - like he says in the documentary - Niall insists Lewis doesn't do his own washing.
“He doesn’t do his own laundry. I spoke to his mother the other night. He’s a liar," the Slow Hands hitmaker said.
“He might have done it for the cameras. I swear to God, Carol [Lewis' mother] , I said to his mother the other day: ‘Does Lewis come into the house often or are you often at his flat in Glasgow?’ She says, ‘Yes, if he hands me the laundry.’”
The broadcaster added that since Lewis was seen using a washing machine, he may only wash his underwear. Niall, 26, continued: “He probably has to do his own smalls ‘cause I wouldn’t hand his smalls to anyone else... smalls that not even a mother would love!”
Lewis and Niall have been close friends for a number of years now, and have recently bonded over their love for golf. “He said to me, I’ll never play golf, it’s an old man’s sport and it’s the worst sport ever,’” Niall recalled.
“And then about eight weeks later he was asking me where he could get a set of golf clubs so I got him a set... and I went to his gig a few weeks ago and I brought them with me and now every day he posts golf videos. He’s actually posting more about golf than I do and that’s saying something.”
