Les Dennis says he has forgiven Amanda Holden after 20 years

Actor and comedian Les Dennis says he has forgiven ex-wife Amanda Holden after 20 years. Les says the affair left him feeling 'damaged' but he has forgiven Amanda.

In 2000, Les Dennis and Amanda Holden were married, but their relationship faced difficulties when it was revealed that Amanda Holden had an affair with actor Neil Morrissey. The affair became public knowledge and attracted significant media attention at the time.

Les Dennis and Amanda Holden's marriage ultimately ended in divorce in 2003, primarily due to the strain caused by the affair. The situation received extensive coverage in the media, and it was a challenging period for both individuals involved.

Since then, both Les Dennis and Amanda Holden have moved on with their lives and careers. Les Dennis has continued working as an actor and presenter, while Amanda Holden has become a well-known television personality, appearing on various shows and becoming a judge on "Britain's Got Talent."

Les, 69, says he has no hard feelings towards his ex-wife, 52, who said “nice” things about him recently, which he said was “kind”. “We’re not in touch but I am happy that she’s happy,” he said. “I can watch Britain’s Got Talent without getting angry.”

“To be honest it’s like watching a different person,” he said. “Someone I’ve never met.”

He told the Sunday Times: “All the hurt that has happened has been healed.”

The couple wed in 1995 when she was 22 and he was 40, and split in 2002 following the affair.

In March, Amanda said she felt the relationship had “safety” which she craved when they married, explaining: “I was very young and I had a lot to learn about life.”

She also previously told how it was her ex-husband who got her through the period after their split.

“Les proved to be my saviour. Ironically,” she said. “So the person I’d hurt the most in the world was the one who was there for me.

“It was a very dark time. It got to the point where I felt I could hardly breathe.”

She added: “I brought it on myself, I appreciate that, but nothing will ever be as bad again.”

Amanda has two children Lexi, 17 and Hollie, 11, with husband Chris Hughes - the son of Les’ former agent Mike Hughes.

Neil, 60, apologised for the affair in 2014.
