A woman from Leeds who was diagnosed with a rare appendix cancer is looking forward to the future after undergoing what is known as the 'mother of all surgeries'.
In January 2021, Jackie aged 40, originally from New Zealand and known as 'Jax', was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei, (PMP).
It affects 1-2 people in a million and the operation to remove it is so specialised that only two hospitals in the UK can do it, with hers involving the removal of seven organs.
