Despite thundery spells forecast for parts of Yorkshire on Tuesday Leeds is set for a partly sunny day.
Leeds is forecast for some brighter and sunny spells on Tuesday (July 4), with some light showers. The city shouldn't expect any thundery spells according to the Met Office unlike other parts of Yorkshire.
Met Office said: "Showers developing widely by day, some turning thundery. Still some sunny spells, especially towards the coast. The far south may see more prolonged rain, but this is considered unlikely. Maximum temperature 16 °C."

Leeds will start the morning with sunny intervals says Met Office, with some light showers at 10am. There will be some cloud and more light showers around midday and the early afternoon, turning cloudy at 3pm. It will remaidn cloudy until 7pm before more sunny intervals are forecast - for the remainder of Tuesday.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday
Changeable Wednesday and Thursday with sunny spells, occasional showers, and bands of rain. Showers may be thundery in places. Cloudy in the west Friday with outbreaks of rain. Fine elsewhere.
