Leeds United's relegation rivals' upcoming fixtures analysed as Everton face tough schedule

With a number of sides in the bottom six set to face matches against one another in the coming weeks, it is set to be a pivotal side in the battle to beat the drop.

The final international break is also set to arrive in less than two weeks’ time, meaning clubs will be desperate to build some momentum.

Following a very difficult run of form and a change in the dugout, Leeds United are one of the sides desperate to muster up some points.

So ahead of a vital few weeks in the calendar, here is a look at each of the bottom six’s next five matches.

15th: Brentford – 27 points

Brentford ended their recent dismal run of form with a huge victory over bottom of the table Norwich City at the weekend.

And they could take a giant stride towards survival on Saturday if they are able to secure another three points when they host 18th place Burnley.

The Bees then face a difficult run of three fixtures with Leicester City, Chelsea and West Ham to come, before then making the trip to Watford.

March 12: Burnley (h)

March 19: Leicester (a)

April 2: Chelsea (a)

April 9: West Ham (h)

April 16: Watford (a)

16th: Leeds United – 23 points

Leeds’ next five fixtures could be make-or-break in their season as they face a number of consecutive matches where points could arrive.

The Whites have lost five Premier League games in a row but have two monumental home games in four days to come this week.

Jesse Marsch’s side then make the trip to Wolves before the international break, before locking horns with Southampton and Watford.

March 10: Aston Villa (h)

March 13: Norwich (h)

March 18: Wolves (a)

April 2: Southampton (h)

April 9: Watford (a)

17th: Everton – 22 points

March 13: Wolves (h)

March 17: Newcastle (h)

April 3: West Ham (a)

April 9: Manchester United (h)

April 23: Liverpool (a)

Due to their torrid results away from Goodison Park in recent weeks, Everton will know they have to target consecutive home games with Wolves and Newcastle for some points.

That is because they then face away matches with West Ham and Liverpool, either side of another home match against Manchester United.

The Toffees have arguably the toughest run-in of all sides in the bottom six, so wins must start to arrive soon.

18th: Burnley – 21 points

After two consecutive wins over Brighton and Spurs, Burnley have hit another rocky patch with just one point from three matches.

After a heavy 4-0 home defeat to Chelsea, the Clarets now face a huge trip to Brentford, where another loss could be detrimental.

That is when you consider Manchester City follow in their next match. Sean Dyche, though, will target points from Norwich, West Ham and Wolves.

March 12: Brentford (a)

April 2: Manchester City (h)

April 10: Norwich (a)

April 16: West Ham (a)

April 23: Wolves (h)

19th: Watford – 19 points

Following a home defeat to Arsenal last time out, Watford now face three consecutive tricky matches away from Vicarage Road.

The Hornets will be desperate to come away from the three matches against Wolves, Southampton and Liverpool still in with a shout of survival, with two huge home games afterwards.

Leeds and Brentford may almost decide their season, as anything less than a four-point haul could be curtains.

March 10: Wolves (a)

March 13: Southampton (a)

April 2: Liverpool (a)

April 9: Leeds (h)

April 16: Brentford (h)

20th: Norwich City – 17 points

It’s going to take a huge effort for Norwich to pull themselves out of danger given their points tally, and the fact they have played more games than a lot of teams around them.

But it does not get any easier for the Canaries, as they host Chelsea on Thursday, where they will be looking to avoid another hiding.

Consecutive games against Leeds, Brighton and Burnley are likely to dictate whether they stand any chance of staying up heading into their last seven games.

March 10: Chelsea (h)

March 13: Leeds (a)

April 2: Brighton (a)

April 10: Burnley (h)

April 16: Manchester United (a)
