Leeds United injury list and return dates in full as Premier League season approaches

Leeds United's pre-season tour of Australia is well under way. Jesse Marsch's side kicked off the campaign with a 2-1 win over Brisbane Roar, and will face fellow Premier League sides Aston Villa and Crystal Palace in the coming days.

Some players were not included in Leeds ' 26-man squad for the tour due to injury, while a couple of players out in Australia are currently suffering from knocks. Here is where United’s injury list is currently at.

Liam Cooper

The Leeds captain reported for pre-season with a slight tenderness in his Achilles. Cooper hopes to play some part in Leeds' tour of Australia.

"I just have a little issue with the fat pad behind my Achilles at the moment," he said at a Q and A event with supporters in Brisbane. "I've tried joining in a couple of times and it's just not quite right at the moment, but I'm getting there slowly but surely."

Leo Hjelde

Hjelde also missed Leeds' win over Brisbane Roar. The Norwegian defender took a knock to the calf during the Whites' first open training session in Australia.

Luke Ayling

The 30-year-old went under the knife for knee surgery on May 19, and is not expected back in training until autumn. Ayling celebrated Leeds' survival on the final day of the season at Brentford while wearing a leg brace.

Stuart Dallas

Dallas is not expected to play again until 2023. The femoral fracture he suffered against Manchester City required major surgery and will require a long and patient injury. The Northern Ireland international had played every game in the Premier League last season, before sustaining that injury against the Premier League champions on matchday 35.

Junior Firpo

Jesse Marsch has admitted that Firpo is set to miss around eight weeks of action after picking up an injury in Leeds' 4-0 win over Blackpool in pre-season.

Firpo looks set to miss the first month of Premier League action, with Leeds' game against Nottingham Forest at Elland Road on September 12 looking like a possible return date.
