Leeds United's forward Rodrigo has been named in Luis de la Fuente's 23-man squad for Spain's UEFA Nations League fixtures in the Netherlands. Spain take on Italy in a semi-final clash on Thursday, June 15, which could see Rodrigo line-up against teammate Wilfried Gnonto.
The winner of that clash will take on the Netherlands or Croatia in the final, or if they lose to Italy, will face either of the two aforementioned sides in a third place play-off in the town of Enschede. Rodrigo has been the star man for Leeds in a dismal campaign.
He played 35 times for the Whites, finishing the season as top scorer with 15 goals in all competitions, with this form seeing the 32-year-old linked with a move away from Elland Road this summer. Being back in the Spain squad after an 18-month absence is only likely to add to this speculation, as the forward would find it tough to remain in the international picture if he is playing second-tier football.

Rodrigo, like many other senior players, is therefore expected to leave following the club's relegation to the Championship. Sevilla and Real Betis are said to be keen on taking the Spaniard back to his native country.
The striker will be hoping to add to his seven caps for Spain, in which he has scored eight goals.
