Australian Leeds United fans got the chance to meet a handful of first-team stars this morning in a Brisbane pub. The Whites will be playing in the Queensland city on Sunday when they take on Aston Villa at the Suncorp Stadium and they took the opportunity to meet up with a local supporters’ club in the build-up to the pre-season friendly.
Jesse Marsch, Rasmus Kristensen, Illan Meslier, Dan James and Liam Cooper were in attendance at the Pig and Whistle event, organised by Adidas and JD Sports and they took part in question and answer session. Those fans were able to ask questions to their favourite stars before getting the chance to collect an autograph and photo.
It was a rare opportunity for those on the other side of the world to engage with the club and they certainly seemed to appreciate it, before serenading the group with a couple of songs. The Whites are currently still training in Gold Coast and they’ll have one more night by the sea before making the hour-long journey up to Brisbane.
