Leeds United's chances of staying in the Premier League have taken a hit but are still good enough to secure their survival according to data analysts FiveThirtyEight following their 1-0 loss to Chelsea on Saturday.
Wesley Fofana netted his first goal in a Chelsea shirt in the 53rd minute to give the Blues a second-half lead and their first league win since mid-January, leaving the Whites stuck in 17th.
However, the latest supercomputer prediction to come out of FiveThirtyEight claims that despite the result at Stamford Bridge going against Leeds, they're still most likely to finish in 16th.

While their chances of relegation have gone up to 29% from 23% last weekend, that still puts them above drop zone rivals Nottingham Forest (38%), Everton (59%), Southampton (63%) and Bournemouth (64%).
The prediction also notes that Leeds will finish on 37 points, still three off the 'golden target' of 40 points which is said to usually secure a team's survival in the Premier League.
However, that 37 points is still good enough to see them end up in 16th, joint on points with Nottingham Forest and just three in front of the Toffees who would finish in 18th on 34 points.
Both the Saints and the Cherries are also predicted to go down on 33 points each, despite Southampton's second win in three matches after they beat Leicester 1-0 on Saturday.
In terms of climbing the table, FiveThirtyEight have shown faith in Javi Gracia's style, as they believe they could climb as high as 11th before the season finishes, with the Whites having a 20% chance to finish in either 13th, 12th or 11th.
With next weekend's clash against Brighton on the horizon, a big three points for Leeds would go a long way of boosting their survival chances.
