A 14-year-old schoolboy from Leeds will be cycling for 12 hours straight to raise money to attend the 25th World Scout Jamboree in the Republic of Korea.
Jamie White has been chosen as part of the UK group to go to the Jamboree, but will need to raise the money for the trip himself. This is one of the conditions of the trip, which will see 40,000 scouts from more than 150 nations around the world travel to Korea.
His sister has already been helping him with the fundraising and quickly organised a bake sale before he tried to earn more money by playing his guitar in a musical session at Aireborough Rugby Club.

On Saturday 16 July at 8am, he will be attempting to cycle on the spot for 12 hours straight. Family, friends and other volunteers will be with him to move the pedals when he needs to take breaks for recovery and food.
Jamie said: “I am nervous but also excited about this challenge which is going to be really tough.
“Flying the flag for Guiseley in South Korea will be a massive honour but I have a lot of hard work to do to raise money before then.
“I would appreciate any help the local community can give me.”
He also thanked Guiseley AFC, BCB Radio and Rob Rattray from Syno Education for their support.
Jamie hopes the public will come to offer their support at 77 Silverdale Drive in Guiseley to cheer him on and give contributions to his fundraising efforts. He also has a GoFundMe account which is accessible here.
His 11-year-old sister, Charlotte, will be setting up a cake stall at the event with homemade goods.
The family are also inviting businesses to sponsor the event where their names will be prominently displayed. If you are interested in sponsoring the event you can contact his father, Barry at 07787 514324 or email: barry@vanbarassociates.com.
